Our History We are a family owned and operated business with humble beginnings in Maine by the beautiful Acadia National Park. We quickly earned a reputation for producing a quality candle and superior customer service. Our customers were telling us that our candles are better then a larger more well known New England candle company. We knew when we were asked to fill that companies containers with our candles that we were definitely headed in the right direction. Word spread throughout craft fairs and visiting tourist, soon forming a loyal customer base that still exist today and continues to grow. |

The inspiration for our candles as well as part of our name comes from Sicily where we lived for four years. Strega ,is the name of a popular and unique drink that is made in the small town of Benevento, Italy. Once you taste the candy and pastry made with this walnut based drink it's unforgettable. When looking for a company name we wanted something unique, that also honored the wonderful Italian artisans that inspired our business and Strega Moon Candle ® was born. It is our desire to only produce candles of the highest quality using fragrance oils, pure essential oils, all natural waxes, and dyes made especially for candle production. We will never use any wick that is not lead free in the making of our candles. This is the reason we still hand pour each candle. While using machines would of course help us meet our growing demands much quicker we feel it would also lower the quality of the candles. We hope you will enjoy your candles as much as we enjoy making them. Come grow with us as we add to the original candle line with our latest Bath and Body Line. Made with skin loving oils and the beauty of pure essential oils we blended together to create this special new part of Strega Moon™.
